The work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 330 lineal feet of pipe sewers, varying in size from 12" to 15" in diameter, and appurtenances to be constructed in an area located west of Kings highway Boulevard and north of Delmar Boulevard, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. The envelope is to be identified with Bartmer Avenue 5750 Combined Sewer Replacement (IR), 14397-015.1, along with the Bidder's name and address. Electronic "bid", "bond" and "good faith effort" must be submitted as separate PDF's with this "name" on the file. If the Bid is sent by mail or any other courier type service, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation "SEALED BID ENCLOSED, ATTENTION: Stacey Hunter, Purchasing Department", on the face thereof. Bids may, however, be withdrawn prior to the opening of the first bid. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more. The requirements are further explained in the attached Business Diversity Utilization and Workforce Program document. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to prospective bidders' questions prior to the opening of the Bid will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all pre-qualified bidders who have purchased plans and specifications.
