Excavation, backfill and compaction, dewatering of 42", 48" and 60" pipelines, disinfection and pipeline isolations without existing or functioning isolation valves by means of installing weld-on line stops and hot tapping. Line stops 48" pipeline to have a concrete thrust block and new blow off (minimum 6" diameter). Demolition and disposal of the existing MOV2 48" BFV and existing electric actuator. Demolition and disposal of the existing MOV4 electric actuator. Retrofit existing 42" MOV4 BFV with new gearbox adaption kit and install new electric actuator. Installation of the new automated MOV2 48" BFV and new electric actuator. Core drilling of the existing MOV2 and MOV4 Valve Vaults, installation of new floor stand pedestals and new mechanical extensions to bring the new electric actuators and local controls outside of the vault and above grade. Pull power, signal and control wires from existing Disconnect Stands adjacent to valve vaults to new MOV2 and MOV4 electric actuators. Install conduits as necessary, program actuators and set maximum limits, make system fully functional. The valve, actuators, mechanical extensions and floor stand pedestal and gearbox adaption kit have been purchased by the District. Contractor to coordinate with Owner and City of Stockton regarding installation of new valve and actuators during shutdown.
