Refurbish two existing bathroom floors including installation of Schluter Ditra waterproof membrane, Schluter floor drains, seam taping, and tiling. DESCRIPTION: Taconic DDSOO is seeking bids to refurbish two existing bathroom floors at an Office for People with Developmental Disabilities owned and operated home at 22 Sinpatch Road, Wassaic NY. Winning contractor shall refurbish existing bathroom floor and entire perimeter of walls up to existing wall tile. Floor will be installed on Schluter Ditra waterproof membrane, with Schluter floor drains and perimeter shall be seam taped including corners. All Schluter shall be installed to manufacturers specifications before tiling. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Completely gut existing epoxy floor. 2. Repair all water damage to bathroom framing or subfloor. Any water damage extending beyond the bathroom shall be brought to the attention of the listed contact above. Any replacement subflooring must be Marine-grade Plywood. 3. Flooring equal to: Daltile with Step-wise Technology providing a Dynamic wet slip coefficient of friction (DCOF) of 0.6, that meets/exceeds OSHA recommended slip resistance. Install tiles on floors and perimeter walls. Tiles shall be installed with epoxy grout. 4. Prior to installation contractor will submit tile samples to point of contact above. 5. Prior to work starting, contractor shall submit cutsheet and manufactures directions for Schluter system to be installed. 6. Contractor shall have all necessary materials, experience, and fixtures on hand to complete the job prior to starting the job. 7. Any utility interruptions must be arranged in advance and limited to 4 hours in duration. 8. Contractor responsible for disposing of all construction debris offsite. 9. Contractor shall do all work according to all applicable codes, laws, and commonly accepted building practices. 10. All materials and fixtures shall be installed according to the manufactures instructions. 11. Work shall not be deemed complete unless inspected and approved by Work Control representative, Including a waterproofing inspection before tiling. 12. Contractor shall warrantee all work for one year from the date that contractor is paid for the job, including waterproofing.
