Street reconstruction project including utility, grading, and drainage improvements. This project consists of full street and utility reconstruction, 450 linear feet (LF) of existing roadway of East Avenue S from Jackson St to Mississippi St, to include one intersection on East Ave S and Mississippi St. Key road way components to be installed with this project will include variable head curb along East Ave S and updating ADA pedestrian ramps to current standards and installing pedestrian curb as necessary at the intersection of East Ave S and Mississippi St. The utilities within the project will include but are not limited to new installations of sanitary sewer and manholes including sanitary laterals; new and replacement installations of watermain, including service connections; replacement storm sewer, catch basins, and manholes as necessary. The City of La Crosse Streets Department will perform all the initial removals of the existing pavements, removal of the existing sidewalk, and the removal of existing curb and gutter. Removal items will be available for the contractor to use as approved by the project engineer. The City of La Cross Streets Department will complete the installation of the new Bituminous pavement section. The Contractor shall give particular attention to the protection of all structures not specified to be replaced. The Contractor shall be responsible for all repairs to existing structures that are damaged during construction as well as the costs for the repairs or replacements of existing structures without any compensation.
