The work consists of providing annual inspection, testing, documentation, and related services for fire department attack and supply hoses in accordance with applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, manufacturer recommendations, and all applicable regulatory requirements. The contractor must perform all work in accordance with NFPA 1962, applicable manufacturer recommendations, and Cal/OSHA safety regulations, maintaining safe work practices. Services include offloading fire hoses from apparatus, visual inspection of each hose section, hydrostatic pressure testing, identification of defects or failures, tagging and documenting removed hoses, reloading the hose as specified, and returning hoses to original or designated locations. Contractor is responsible for providing detailed testing documentation, ensuring equipment calibration, observing safety protocols, and demonstrating relevant experience and qualifications. All bidding entities are required to submit bids on the entire scope, satisfy themselves as to physical conditions and requirements, and provide specified certifications, affidavits, and references as part of the submission. Only one bid as a prime contractor is permitted per firm or entity, and final bid award will be based on the lowest total bid amount that meets all requirements specified.
