Renovation of a conference / convention center in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.
This project involves retrofitting thirty-eight existing 10-foot pendant light fixtures in the Charles F. City Center lobby with Chip-on-Board (CoB) LED technology. The work includes furnishing and installing specified materials (including LED strips, quick-connect systems, drivers, and moving-head spotlights), fixture preparation and disassembly, removal of existing LED strips, inspection of fixture structure, installation and wiring of new CoB LED strips and drivers, integration of quick-connect disconnect systems, and ensuring all connections comply with codes and manufacturer specifications. The contractor must coordinate daily activities to avoid operational disruptions and provide a clean and safe work environment with an English-speaking supervisor. Final deliverables include fully retrofitted pendant fixtures, installed CoB LED systems, spare materials, and successful completion of functional testing and inspection. City responsibilities include assisting with fixture removal/reinstallation, providing access and a scissor lift, and scheduling around facility events. Bidders must submit required documents electronically, provide at least three relevant project references from the last five years, and include applicable specification sheets. All licensing and insurance requirements as specified must be met. Failure to respond completely to requirements may result in disqualification. Brevity and clarity in responses are encouraged. Proposers must register on the City's e-Procurement platform and complete all required submittal documentation. Question Deadline 06/24/2026 at 6:00 PM ET Bidders shall submit all questions regarding this bid via the Citys e-Procurement Portal Online. The estimated cost is $ 65,000.00. This project consists of retrofitting thirty-eight (38) existing 10-foot pendant light fixtures in the Charles F. DodgeCity Center (CFDCC) lobby with Chip-on-Board (CoB) LED technology. Please note Attachment A - lsq8-specsheet is an example of the fixture type to be modified. The lights installed in the CFDCC lobby are a customized solution for The City of Pembroke Pines. Materials (Furnished and Installed) o 200 units - CoB HL-Lum LED strips, 4000K, 24V (16'-4" length) o 200 units - Quick-Connect Disconnect System o 80 units - Lumilum Drivers, IP68 rated, 192W (2 per fixture) o 20 units - Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 475ZX, 250W LED moving-head spot o Miscellaneous connectors, mounting hardware, and quick-connect systems for serviceability and replacement of CoB strips o Fixture Preparation & Disassembly o Coordinate with City personnel for safe removal of pendant fixtures City Staff will remove / reinstall fixtures o Transport fixtures to designated onsite work area (loading dock) o Remove existing LED strips from all four (4) sides of each fixture o Removal must be performed without the use of chemicals o Inspect internal aluminum structure ( 1/2 " square removable tube) for integrity o LED Retrofit Installation o Install new CoB LED strips on all four sides of each pendant o Ensure proper alignment and continuous illumination o Install appropriate mechanical connectors or mounting method to maintain secure adhesion of CoB strips to heat sinks o Integrate quick-connect disconnect system at the top of each fixture for future maintenance and repair o Install and wire two (2) new LED drivers per fixture o Ensure all drivers are properly mounted, ventilated, and compliant with IP68 requirements o Complete all electrical connections in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications o Testing & Quality Assurance o Test each fixture for proper operation, light output consistency, and color temperature (4000K) o Verify all connections are secure and accessible for future servicing o Troubleshoot and correct any deficiencies prior to reinstallation
