Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Thurmont, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of the restoration of the Town Municipal Parking Lot, which includes resurfacing, paint striping, new sidewalk, new curb/gutter, and landscaping as indicated on drawings. The contractor is required to provide all equipment and labor to remove and replace existing curb/gutter with asphalt; remove and install new concrete sidewalk; install new landscape islands with header curb; resurface the entire parking lot and a portion of Pollys Alley; paint new striping for parking spaces, handicap spaces, and direction arrows; and plant landscaping after September 15th. Additional tasks include providing clean tie-ins at roadway connections, sweeping the area, applying tack coat, leveling low or depressed areas, complying with ADA requirements, and installing benches and a wheel stop. The contractor must also post signs for public notice when areas are closed and is responsible for cleanup and repair of any site work damaged or altered during construction. No signage or yellow curb painting is included.
