This project, located in Frederick County, is for the installation of JTurns and associated acceleration and deceleration improvements on US 15 at the intersection of Angleberger Road and Auburn Road. The scope of this project includes the installation of a J-Turn treatment, prohibiting left-turn movements from minor roads and redirecting left-turning traffic from Angleberger Road and Auburn Road to a location away from the intersection. Other intersection improvements include upgrading acceleration and deceleration lanes, improving existing turning movements, allowing for crossing bicycles and drainage and stormwater management (SWM) improvements. Classification: F - 5,000,001 to $10,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
