Environmental restoration of sheep habitat including site development activities. The scope of work includes constructing a containment and testing facility for bighorn sheep, designed to identify and remove disease carriers while supporting the translocation of disease-free animals to re-establish a viable Pine Ridge population. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Payment Bond, 100% Performance Bond. The project includes four (4) 5-acre holding pens and two (2) 0.25-acre isolation pens, each enclosed with 8' chain-link fencing. A secondary perimeter 10' fixed-knot, 12.5- gauge fence, buried 2' and extending 8' above grade with razor wire, surrounds the pens. 1. MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATION - Bringing equipment to and from site. - Construction preparation. - Insurance and bonding. 2. SITE LAYOUT - Construct the facility on private land approximately ten(10) miles north of Scottsbluff, NE on HWY 71. - WEST OF HWY 71 - Four(4) holding pens each 5-acres. - Two(2) isolation pens each 0.25-acres. - Holding and Isolation pens separated by minimum 250 feet. - Holding and isolation pens are surrounded by a secondary perimeter fence. Perimeter fence should be a minimum of 50' from pens. 3. HOLDING AND ISOLATION PENS - Supply and install 8 ' high chain-link fences around the pens. (Approx 8,360 LF) - Fencing: 9-gauge 8' tall chain-link fencing. - Corner and brace posts: 2-7/8 x 12' galvanized metal (120 posts). - Line posts: 2-3/8" x 12' galvanized metal (688 posts). - Footings are 12" diameter x 54" deep P.C.C. (808 footings), posts spaced max. 12' apart. - Bracing: 1-5/8" x 10' SS40 tubing (1656 LF). - Fencing secured with 9-gauge EZ ties every 12" (6464 ties). - 7-gauge spiral tension wires at the top and bottom of fence. Wire to be tightened to 200 lbs. (16,720 LF). - A 12" 45-degree inward extension arm with (3) 12.5-gauge hightension smooth wires ( 25, 080 LF) - Install two(2) 10' x 8' gates in each pen (12 gates). - Install funnel fencing using livestock panels 10' x 4'. Six(6) panels per funnel in holding pens and three(3) panels per funnel in isolation pens. (48 panels) SECONDARY PEN PERIMETER FENCES - Supply and install 8' high deer fence around the designated pen areas. - Fencing: 10' woven-wire of fixed knot, 12.5-gauge, 20/120/6/330 Deer Fence (8,104 LF). - Fencing buried 24" below grade, with 8' extending above ground. - Corner and brace posts: 2-7/8" x 14' SS40 (32 posts). - Line posts: 2-3/8" x 14' galvanized metal posts for the. (652 posts) - Posts spaced maximum 12' apart. - Footings: 12" diameter x 54" deep P.C.C. (684 footings) - Bracing: 1-5/8" x 10' SS40 tubing (552 LF). - Fencing secured with 9-gauge EZ ties every 12" ( 5472 Ties). - 7-gauge spiral tension wires at the top and bottom of fence. Wire to be tightened to 200 lbs. (16,208 LF) - A 12" 45-degree outward extension arm with (3) 12.5-gauge 2-point barbed with 4" spacing and Concertina razor wire, 18" coil dia., 12" spacing (8104 LF). - Install two(2) 10' x 8' gates in each fence (4 gates). The Big Horn Sheep Restoration Project ideally would be completed by September 1, 2026, but will be completed no later than September 30, 2026.
