Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Bidders must be pre-qualified thru the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be providing the City of Springfield with an official contractor bid list for all contractors that are prequalified in the specific class of work category Pavement-Surfacing The work shall consist of: o Base Bid #1 - Milling and Paving of approximately 98,135 +/- square yards of Arterial Streets and associated concrete sidewalk improvements. o Base Bid #1 - Milling and/or Paving of approximately 26,877 +/- square yards of public Residential Streets and associated concrete sidewalk improvements. o Base Bid #2 - Milling and/or Paving of approximately 9,075 +/- square yards of a public Residential Street and associated concrete sidewalk improvements o Alternate Bid for Springfield Water and Sewer Commission (SWSC) adjustment or replace of sanitary sewer and drain infrastructure items. If the Alternate Bid is accepted by the SWSC, the SWSC will pay the contractor directly for those pay items.
