The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting proposals for construction services for the following project: Project Description: The Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs is looking for a qualified general contractor to construct a new 105 bed skilled nursing facility in West Valley City. Question Deadline 07/01/2026 at 3:00 PM MT Deadline to submit Questions Online Portal The project consists of the construction of a new 105-bed skilled nursing facility to replace the existing William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home. The building will be approximately 128,000 square feet and is designed using a hybrid of the VA's Small House (SH) Model Design Guide and private sector models. The facility will include a central community center with three neighborhoods with the resident rooms. One of the neighborhoods will be a memory care unit. The facility is intended to increase capacity, provide private resident rooms, and enhance infectious disease control. The project will be a split funded project between the Federal VA and the State of Utah. Due to the funding split, there are some federal requirements that contractors will need to follow, please make sure you are aware of those requirements.
