Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 174,000-square-foot, five-story above grade, 734-bed multi-residential development.
The project consists of two new 5-story separate buildings totaling approximately 174,000 square feet with 734 new beds. The scope includes demolition of the existing Jackson Hall Building, site utility updates, construction of a steel structure over concrete, and exterior building finishes such as brick veneer, store front, curtain wall, and metal panels. The project will be conducted in two phases: an early site enabling package and a full building package. Bids are requested for the demolition and early site work packages, including furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the new residence hall. Pre-qualification requirements: Bids will only be accepted from prequalified subcontractors. All minority firms are encouraged to submit bids, and bidders must comply with North Carolina Statute 143-128.2 (c). The last day to submit prequalification forms is specified.
