The work consists of compliance-related improvements to the Kearny Water Reclamation Facility, including demolition and replacement of the existing auger and associated appurtenances at the influent channel; installation of a flow metering system at the discharge to the river; and demolition and replacement of the existing splitter box with a new concrete structure, along with above ground piping for a temporary inlet influent bypass system. Non-compliance-related improvements include construction of above-ground stainless steel air piping for the blowers to replace the existing underground piping; installation of new pneumatic butterfly valves near the aeration basin; installation of a new staircase and rotation of an existing staircase; demolition and replacement of the existing pump skid, hydropneumatics tank and compressor system, and related components with a new pump station package including centrifugal pumps, a hydropneumatics tank, tank compressor, and control components at the reuse pump station; removal and replacement of the existing valve assembly at the off-site irrigation station; demolition of existing walls and construction of new walls for blower control room expansion; and all related site, mechanical, and electrical work including all electrical components, panels, wiring, conduit, and instrumentation. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished.
