Renovation of a municipal facility in Manchester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The select replacement of original hardware with new ADA compliant hardware, along with the replacement of original locksets and new lock boxes for emergency access. Question Deadline 07/06/2026 at 2:00 PM ET All bidding Requests for Information (RFI's) for general bids shall be submitted via email to Jessica Juncker, jjuncker@vancestein.com . A. The Work of the Contract consists of: 1. This work to be performed consists of, but not limited to the following: a. Demolition 1. The removal and proper disposal of existing door hardware knobs and locksets as indicated in the drawings. b. Proposed: 1. Furnish and install new door hardware and locksets per the drawings and specifications. All hardware sets are to have three (3) keys made: two (2) for the tenants, one (1) for facilities. 2. Furnish and install new lockset cores per the drawings and specifications. 3. Furnish and install new lock boxes for each building to store the key designated for facilities department use. 2. Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated not to be done. 3. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 4. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. B. Execution of Work: Work to be performed in timely and workmanlike fashion. Site must be cleaned up daily with access needed for overnight. C. The Scope of Work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes providing all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete the Work in accordance with all specifications and requirements described herein. All Work, including repair or replacement of rejected installations, shall be performed in accordance with highest industry standards by experienced, qualified craftsman for a complete installation in strict accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and printed instructions. Where such recommendations or instructions are in conflict with the requirements listed herein, the Contractor shall bring the conflict to the attention of the RCAT and/or Architect in writing prior to commencing with any work. D. The Authority may reject any work that is performed which is not in accordance with the specifications and/or highest industry standards in which case the Contractor is fully responsible for replacing or repairing the rejected work at no additional cost to the Owner. E. The Contractor is responsible for and shall verify all existing dimensions, quantities and conditions and shall notify the Authority prior to the start of work if there is a discrepancy between the existing conditions and the requirements of the specifications that will impede the successful completion of the work as specified. F. Changes to the Scope of Work: If necessary, the Contractor may propose changes in the work which result in adjustment to the Contract Sum or Contract Time. Prior to commencing any change work, the Contractor shall submit a written Change Request to the Authority estimating the Contract sum adjustment and/or adjustment to the Contract Time necessary to execute the change on DHCD's Change Request without receipt of signed approval of the request by the authority. Verbal discussion does not constitute approval of a change to the scope or its associated costs. 1. Any work which deviates from the specification herein that is performed by the Contractor without written approval by the Authority shall be considered performed at the Contractor's own risk. The Authority may reject such work, in which case the rejected work shall be replaced or repaired by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. G. Warranties/Guaranties: 1. All lockset components.
