The project consists of construction of a New FEMA 361 Safe Room at the Grade School, which will comply with FEMA 361 requirements for a high wind event safe room. The work consists of, but is not limited to, selective demolition of existing structure, site work, new construction of structural CMU walls, structural steel framing, concrete, TPO roof systems, FEMA 361 rated windows and doors, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and interior finish work. Missouri Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to the work. Question Deadline 07/08/2026 If any person contemplating submitting a bid for construction of the Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the proposed Contract Documents, or finds discrepancies in, or omissions from, any part of the proposed Contract Documents, he must submit to the Architect a request Sealed bids are requested and must be submitted in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual. The Contractor's company shall have been in business for at least five consecutive years under the current name and ownership and shall be financially sound and solvent. The company shall have successfully completed projects of similar size and scope. Submission of AIA Form 305, Contractor's Statement of Qualifications, is required no later than 5:00 pm, ten calendar days prior to the bid opening. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a 5% bid security in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company authorized to transact business in Missouri. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and may waive any or all informalities in the bid process. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days after the time for receipt of bids. The bidder and any subcontractors must comply with Missouri's Prevailing Wage Laws.
