General repairs to the district's bus garage facility. Verbal questions about this bid package may be presented only at the pre-bid meeting. In the alternative, questions may be submitted in writing to Cody Cusic at email address ccusic@eld4.org. District will endeavor to respond in writing to all such questions, and will circulate any resulting written responses to all interested bidders who have provided District with contact information and who have asked (via email to the gclark@eld4.org) to be added to the District's Interested Party Registry for this project. The district will not respond to verbal requests (calls, discussions, etc.) except when the same occurs at the pre-bid meeting. Project Overview The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and disposal necessary to remove and replace the existing metal roofing system on the bus garage, repair structural components as needed, and replace metal siding on the west elevation. The Contractor shall also repair and replace the garage door bay header board and associated metal components. All work shall be completed in a professional manner and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal building codes Roof Removal and Replacement A. Demolition Remove existing metal roofing panels, fasteners, trim, flashing, and underlayment. Dispose of all removed materials off site in accordance with applicable regulations. Protect surrounding property and equipment during removal. B. Structural Inspection and Repairs Inspect all roof trusses, studs, purlins, and framing members once roofing is removed. Identify any damaged, rotted, rusted, or structurally compromised components. Repair or replace trusses, studs, purlins, or framing members as necessary to restore full structural integrity. Any structural repairs beyond minor replacement shall be documented and approved prior to completion. Replace insulation as needed C. New Roofing System Install new underlayment or moisture barrier as recommended by manufacturer. Install new prefinished metal roofing panels (gauge and color to be specified by Owner). Install all required flashing, ridge caps, closures, fasteners, and trim. Ensure proper alignment, fastening, and weatherproofing to provide a watertight system. Provide manufacturer's warranty and workmanship warranty documentation. D. Gutter and Downspouts Replace gutters, downspouts and mounting hardware.3. West Wall Metal Replacement Remove existing metal siding on the west side of the bus garage. Inspect wall framing and structural members for damage. Repair or replace any compromised studs or structural members. Install new prefinished metal siding to match roof system (color to be selected by Owner). Install appropriate trim, flashing, and sealants to ensure weather resistance. 4. Garage Doors Bay Header Repair and Replacement Remove existing garage door(s) bay header board and associated damaged metal components. Inspect structural support above garage door(s) opening. Replace header board(s) with properly sized, treated, or engineered material suitable for load requirements. Replace any damaged framing associated with header(s) replacement. Install new metal trim or panels around the garage door(s) opening to ensure proper weather sealing and structural integrity.
