Construction and installation of a new public pool to include the concrete pool, new play equipment, landscaping, sitework, demolition of remaining concrete slab-on-grade, construction of a new lifeguard building, and modifications to the existing pumphouse. The work includes the concrete pool and new play equipment as shown and described on the Drawings. Landscaping and sitework for the new pool are also included. The existing pool has already been demolished and removed from the site. There are small areas of concrete slab-on-grade left to demolish. A new Lifeguard Building is also included as part of this Work. The building is a slab on grade structure with load bearing masonry walls and wood roof trusses. The facade is similar to the existing buildings on site and will use reclaimed Belgian block and brick as provided by the City of Lynchburg. The work in the existing Pumphouse includes removal and disposal of all former pool equipment and installation of all new pool equipment. The exterior of this existing building will remain as is. New work on the interior includes the addition of a drywall ceiling in select locations and the replacement of a hollow metal door and frame.
