Nelson County Parks and Recreation is creating river access along the Rockfish River in Schuyler at 8052 Rockfish River Road, Schuyler, VA 22969. The project consists of clearing an area of 5,566 square feet of existing trees and installing a gravel parking area. Work includes tree and brush clearing, chipping and hauling all debris off site, cutting any existing vegetation to solid earth, installing 15-inch plastic roadway culverts under the site entrance, installing roadway fabric across the entire area, applying a layer of #3 base stone compacted, and applying a minimum of 6 inches of 21A crush and run gravel compacted in 2-inch lifts. The project will be awarded to the submitter with the lowest quote. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
