Replacement of sanitary force main systems including installation of 6-inch and 8-inch PVC piping via horizontal directional drilling (HDD), abandonment of existing systems, pavement and landscaping restoration, and implementation of traffic control and frac-out contingency plans. Project Description: The project consists of replacing sanitary force main in Lake County at the following locations: 1. North Lakeside Drive between West Washington Street to approximately 500 feet north of the W. Wilmar Avenue intersection. This location consists of approximately 1,300 linear feet of 6-inch nominal diameter C900 PVC installed by HDD methods. This segment of the project is expected to be permitted and constructed in the 2026 calendar year. 2. Columbia Bay Road between N Columbia Bay Road and IL Route 59. This location consists of approximately 1,900 linear feet of 8-inch nominal diameter C900 PVC installed by HDD methods. This segment of the project is expected to be constructed in the 2027 calendar year after IDOT permits have been obtained. Work shall include furnishing labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install the proposed force main systems and appurtenances, abandon the existing force main systems, restore all pavement and landscaping, maintain a frac-out contingency plan, provide traffic control and protection, and all other work items necessary to complete the project.
