Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in El Campo, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,500-square-foot municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Scope : In accordance with the provisions of Texas Government Code, Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, Construction Manager-at-Risk Method, and Rules and Procedures adopted by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), TxDOT (Funding Agency) which is widening US Highway 59 through Pierce, Texas will acquire 1.239 acres of a DPS 4.0 acre property for the right-of-way. Included in the 1.239 acres is a building by TxDMV, TFCs responsibility is services for the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new building on the approximately 2.76 acre DPS property. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of existing DPS facility and design and construction of the new DPS facility located in Pierce, Texas. The proposed new facility will be a one story building, 6,500 SF building, supported by 17,000 SF of asphalt paving for parking and driveways.
