Work includes all offices, hallways, conference rooms, operations areas, break room, bathrooms, and related spaces as outlined in the attached building plan. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing flooring, prepare substrates as required, and furnish and install new flooring and associated finish trim for a complete installation. Work shall be performed in phases, progressing from area to area, with demolition and installation completed in each area before proceeding to the next. The phased approach shall be coordinated with and approved by the Traffic Operations Onsite Manager prior to beginning work in a new area. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to remove and dispose of old flooring and associated finish trim throughout the Traffic Compound facility office area, including the existing Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) and carpet tile flooring, in accordance with the attached, as-built building plans. The contractor shall coordinate with City staff regarding workspace preparation and shall move and relocate large furniture, equipment, and non-personal items as necessary to complete the work. The City will be responsible for moving all IT equipment and employee personal effects prior to vendor starting any work. The contractor shall prepare all work areas for removal activities, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and properly dispose of all demolition debris in accordance with applicable requirements.
