This Pedestrian Improvement project/contract consists of 0.813 miles of clearing and grubbing, grading, sidewalk and trail construction, a pedestrian bridge, curb and gutter, storm drainage installation, asphalt resurfacing and striping, signal upgrades, and landscaping. The project will upgrade the southbound Commerce Avenue sidewalk and connect to the existing McDaniel Farm Park trail network. Quantities include: Earthwork 2,500 CY; Curb & Gutter 3,220 LF; Concrete Flat Work 3,811 SY; Storm Drain Pipe 101 LF; Asphalt 2,490 TN; Signals 2 LS. Bids should be typed or submitted in ink, returned in a sealed container marked with the project number and company name. All bids should be submitted in duplicate. Vendors must include a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Successful vendors will be required to meet insurance requirements, and submit a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond. Bonding and insurance companies must be licensed to do business in Georgia and meet the specified rating requirements. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, but the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to negotiate terms with the lowest responsive and responsible vendor.
