Sealed bids are solicited for maintenance sealcoating, including removal and replacement of concrete base, variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, crackfill asphalt and concrete street pavements, and sealcoating asphaltic bituminous pavements using a slurry seal at various street locations city wide. All work must be completed by June 15, 2027, with a maximum of four crews daily. The contractor must notify the Commissioner or City Supervisor 72 hours before starting work. Liquidated damages are $500 per day. SBE requirement is 10% of the contract base bid, and the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) with supporting certificates must be submitted with the bid. There is no residency requirement, but if awarded above $500,000, specific apprentice labor requirements for designated zip codes apply. Bid security of 10% of the base bid is required, and submission details for electronic and manual bids are provided. Contractors awarded contracts of $25,000 or more must participate in contract compliance and payroll monitoring training and reporting as specified.
