The work comprises the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, labor, incidentals, all implied requirements, and all appurtenant work as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the project. The general items of work consist of traffic control; implementation and maintenance of Best Management Practices SWPPP, construction surveying and monument perpetuation; removal and placement of PCC curbs, gutters, curb ramps, driveways, and sidewalk; asphalt cold milling; hot mix asphalt (HMA); adjustment of surface utilities to grade. The work also includes traffic striping and pavement markings, installation of detectable warning surfaces, and all associated work as identified on the construction drawings and specifications. The work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration of 30 working days. Bids must be completed and submitted on all Bid Schedules. Each bid shall be accompanied by proof of a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price payable to the City of Rialto. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor license at the time of submitting bids. The Contractor and any subcontractor listed on the bid must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor shall pay the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations.
