Smyth County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services on an "as needed" basis. One or more firms will be selected to provide the requested services using architectural and professional engineering term contracting as outlined in the Code of Virginia 2.2-4303.1. The county will enter into a one-year term contract with the selected firms, with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year terms, for a maximum of five years. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked as requested, and may be obtained by visiting the Smyth County website under the "BID INFORMATION" link. Smyth County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive deficiencies, accept any proposal, and negotiate terms as may be in the county's best interest. Local, minority, and female-owned firms are encouraged to participate.
