Renovation of a military facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The contractor shall coordinate with the 21st Civil Engineering Squadron (21 CES) to conduct bio-environmental screening for hazardous materials beneath the existing flooring prior to removal activities. Following clearance, the contractor shall remove approximately 4,370 square feet of existing carpet and rubber cove base from the first floor of Building 122, perform daily site clean-up, and dispose of all debris off base. On-site storage of equipment is not permitted. The contractor shall relocate standard furniture as required for access to the work area, with coordination from the Government to ensure that IT cables, power cords, and personal items have been removed before relocation. New commercial-grade modular carpet tiles or planks shall be installed directly over the existing vinyl flooring using low-VOC adhesives. The contractor shall also install new vinyl cove base, trim door bottoms as necessary to provide proper clearance, and perform wall spackling and painting required to repair any damage resulting from removal of the existing baseboards. Upon completion of the work, all furniture shall be returned to its original location, and the project shall conclude with a final Quality Assurance acceptance inspection by 21 CES Operations Flight personnel.
