The project involves the replacement of the fire alarm system within the existing Clark House building using a primarily one-for-one replacement approach. The scope generally maintains the existing system layout, device locations, and operational sequences to minimize disruption. The work includes the replacement of existing fire alarm control equipment, notification appliances, initiating devices, and associated components as needed to provide a new, technologically compatible system. Revisions to the system design are limited to those necessary for equipment compatibility, coordination with existing building conditions, and replacement system functionality. Bidders must submit a proposal for a single contract covering all required work, including general and electrical work. Bidders are instructed to state on the proposal form the number of calendar days (from "Notice of Award") required to guarantee project completion. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and/or reject any or all bids as determined in their best interest. Access to bidding documents is available at specified locations.
