The project involves the replacement of the fire alarm system within the existing Clark House building using a primarily one-for-one replacement approach. The scope generally maintains the existing system layout, device locations, and operational sequences to minimize disruption. The work includes the replacement of existing fire alarm control equipment, notification appliances, initiating devices, and associated components as needed to provide a new, technologically compatible system. Revisions to the system design are limited to those necessary for equipment compatibility, coordination with existing building conditions, and replacement system functionality. Bidders are instructed to state on the proposal form the number of calendar days (from "Notice of Award") required to guarantee project completion.
