This project involves work on Werkner Rd between Sibley Rd and M-52 in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Unit prices as submitted will govern in determining the correct total of the bid. Proposals must be electronically submitted and signed, with the complete address of the Bidder provided. Each bid requires an electronic bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price. Bidders must meet Michigan Department of Transportation pre-qualification requirements in subclassifications Cb and Ea, or use a pre-qualified subcontractor designated prior to contract award. Bidders must demonstrate competency by providing evidence of similar completed projects and must personally examine the plans, specifications, and work sites. The project must be conducted in accordance with MDOT "2020 Standard Specifications for Construction" and "MDOT Road and Bridge Standard Plans" unless otherwise specified. Contractors must comply with Washtenaw County's Living Wage Regulation, paying employees a minimum of either $17.42 per hour with benefits or $19.42 per hour without benefits, and submit certified weekly payroll records. The awarded bidder is required to enter into a written agreement, submit a preliminary progress schedule, and attend a pre-construction meeting to finalize the detailed progress schedule. The progress schedule must include major starting and completion dates and comply with the final project completion date specified in the proposal. The work must be completed on or before the specified date.
