Renovation of a mixed-use development in Northampton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-room medical facility.

Provide professional services to include all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, and permits necessary to replace HVAC components in Building 2 TeleHealth Rooms at Central Western Massachusetts VAMC. The work involves procuring and replacing all components, compressors, cassettes, line sets, controls, etc., to replace one split-system heat pump system supporting four Telehealth rooms, with the new system to support only Rooms 109, 113, and 120. Dispose of the cassette in the hallway and all associated components. Meet with VA Facilities staff to review drawings and perform field work as needed. All work must comply with VHA, OSHA, EPA, and Mass DEP standards. Schedule field work at least 72 hours in advance, maintain a clean work site, coordinate removal of waste refrigerant, ensure the design and installation meet NEC and NFPA standards, and submit shop drawings and product data for approval. Supply all necessary tools, parts, labor, travel, and equipment for removal and installation of new equipment, implement proper LOTO procedures, repair any damages, and adhere to Massachusetts DEP and DLS regulations and OSHA codes. Determine appropriate sizing and capacity, provide required documentation, disconnect power, recover and dispose of refrigerant, remove old equipment, install new systems, charge with new refrigerant, test and provide a report of proper functionality to the COR. Contractors must manage all aspects of their work, obtain and wear a contractor badge, comply with parking restrictions, and meet all site access and safety requirements including ICRA barriers and maintaining clear paths. All penetrations of fire and smoke barriers must be approved and restored to original standards after work. The cut-off date and time for receipt of questions is 3-JUL-2026 by 10:00 AM EST.
