Construction services include providing all design plans, tools, materials, components, labor, quality assurance, and supervision necessary to complete security upgrades and roofing replacement in accordance with construction documents, drawings, and specifications. Work encompasses installation and integration of security cameras and access control/physical security renovations. The project also involves a Design-Build effort to remove the existing built-up roof system from the barrel center section and three lean-to roof sections down to the structural decking, followed by installation of a new 3-ply SBS-modified built-up roof with granular cap sheet on the barrel section and new fully adhered 90-mil EPDM roof assemblies on the lean-to sections. All associated components including roof drains, flashings, vent pipe flashings, cover boards, insulation, vapor barriers, cant strips, and metal copings and trim will be replaced. The work is to be performed on a one-story, approximately 68,986 square-foot historic building constructed in the early 1940s, featuring a large open bay structure with steel and cast concrete framing. The period of performance is 335 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.
