The estimated length of the project area is 1 1/2 miles. The contractor will perform level-up to restore roadway crown and improve ride quality. Limits to be determined and marked by Bastrop County. The selected contractor will perform a 1.5" TY-D overlay with bonding course along entirety of roadway surface. All driveways shall be feathered out to minimize bump. Contractor shall tie in all side streets with milled out joints. Contractor shall also perform striping and final clean up. All tasks requested in this bid request fall under the following TxDOT standards: o Item 341 - Dense-Graded Hot-Mix Asphalt o Item 351 - Flexible Pavement Structure Repair o Item 666 - Retroreflectorized Pavement Markings o Item 672 - Raised Pavement Markers o Special Specification 3007 - Bonding Course o TCP (1-2) - 18 The selected contractor SHALL mobilize and start work within Thirty (30) days of receipt of a Notice-ToProceed issued by Bastrop County. Payment and Performance bonds shall be required and issued for this contract should the total bid price for this project reach the State of Texas threshold for public works projects. The contractor agrees that, before any work begins, a Payment Bond will be executed and delivered to Bastrop County for the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated project total, should the contracted total meet and/or exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). A Performance bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated project price should also be executed and delivered to Bastrop County should the contracted amount meet and/or exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). The Performance and/or Payment Bond must be maintained throughout the contracted project execution period. At the completion of all work on the requested project, the Payment and/or Performance Bond shall be released. Cost of all bonds must be included in the bid price.
