Site work for an educational facility in Town of Rockingham, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The Rockingham Town School Board is seeking sealed bids for the Parking Area Paving project at Saxtons River Elementary School. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete site preparation, grading, drainage protections, and asphalt paving as specified in the project drawings. The work must be executed in strict accordance with the plans and includes: site preparation and demolition (including sawcutting and removal of existing pavement, protection of trees, clearing and grubbing), grading and paving (compacting subgrade, installing gravel base, bituminous asphalt paving, and constructing concrete sidewalks to ADA accessibility compliance), and civil, drainage, and erosion control measures (including silt fences, inlet protections, stone check dams, dewatering, and site restoration with topsoil and seeding). The contractor is responsible for maintaining at least one lane of access to the school at all times and ensuring full emergency access. All necessary traffic control and local/state permitting is required. Bidders must itemize costs by specific area of work and provide proof of adequate insurance. The successful bidder will enter into a formal contract with the owner, and all submissions must adhere to the specified guidelines. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, or accept any variant deemed in their best interest.
