The City of Hamilton is seeking to prequalify general contractors to participate in future Request for Tenders (RFT) with the expertise and experience to deliver large-scale, complex civil works with integrated traffic signals and electrical components for the Main Street Two-Way Conversion Projects. The following is a list of proposed projects for 2026 and 2027. Project #1: Main Street Two Way Conversion - Dundurn to Victoria Project #2: Main Street Two Way Conversion - Victoria to King Project #1 will be tendered and awarded by October 2026, and Project #2 will be tendered and awarded by January 2027. Both projects have a final construction completion tentatively by November 30, 2027. The value of each project is estimated to be between $10M and $15M.
