Renovation of a recreation facility in Garden City, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
Finney County is soliciting bids for the replacement of an existing door and frame on the west side of the Exhibition Building. The project involves removing the current door frame, doors, windows, closers, and handles as required; protecting adjacent structures; disposing of all debris off-site; maintaining safety barriers; constructing and installing new metal framing equivalent to the current door frame; installing new windows equivalent to current windows; installing new doors and hardware with ADA compliance; painting all affected areas; installing transition strips; and ensuring all work complies with applicable building codes, ADA requirements, and life safety standards. The contractor is also responsible for daily and final cleanup, debris removal, and providing warranties and closeout documents. Work must be coordinated to take place while the facility is unoccupied, with access and staging managed by the contractor. Bids must include a completed bid form, lump sum cost, project schedule, subcontractor list, references, proof of insurance, and acknowledgment of addenda. Contractors must maintain required insurance levels, obtain all necessary permits, coordinate inspections, and provide a minimum one-year warranty on workmanship and materials.
