Addendum #1-#4 have been issued as of 6-30-2026** All Request for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted no later than 10:00 A.M. PST on 9 June 2026 via email to Online. Plans call for the complete remediation of mold-impacted construction materials within Building 1411, specifically located in 56 locations. The work includes remediation of mold in BEQ sleeping quarters and incidental related work of affected locations within the facility. All remediation of this contract will comply to Section 02 85 00 MOLD REMEDIATION. Line items below are not limited to requirements in all sections of this contract and drawings. a. The work of this project involves the complete remediation of mold-impacted construction materials within Building 1411, specifically located in 56 location per drawings A-1 through A-6 and A-8. b. Each effected area is concentrated around sleeping quarters walls with outside window and HVAC unit. The Contractor can assume 10 square feet of effected wall, ceiling, and 6 - 12 inch X 12 inch vinyl composition tile and cove base. c. The primary objective is to remove mold-contaminated architectural materials, clean the affected areas, and prepare the site for post-remediation verification (clearance testing), in full compliance with UFGS Section 02 85 00 MOLD REMEDIATION d. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following key activities: (1) Establishment of regulated containment areas with negative air pressurization. (2) Protection of all non-affected adjacent finishes and equipment. (3) Demolition and removal of contaminated architectural materials, including: gypsum wallboard on walls and ceiling, blanket insulation, and vinyl composition tile. (4) Reconstruction of the effected areas with new A+ finishes, matching current materials, texture, and color schemes per drawing A-7 Finish Schedule, PWD EIC to verify and accept. e. Detailed HEPA vacuuming and cleaning of all surfaces within the containment area. f. Lawful disposal of all contaminated waste. g. Work must be coordinated with the Government and a third-party Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP) for pre-remediation assessment and post-remediation verification. h. Contractor shall investigate and repair the primary source of water intrusion. Work shall include: (1) Comprehensive inspection of window HVAC units and condensate drainage systems. Including window unit in floor above where mold is detected in sleeping area. (2) Mechanical cleaning of condensate drain lines to remove obstructions. (3) Verification of drainage flow rates post-cleaning. This is a Bid/Build the plans and specifications have been provided.. The project is subject to prevailing wage and the Buy American Act.
