The project generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: Living roof system on level 3 and level 4 of the Missoula Public Library with patio addition, new railing, and door alterations at level 3. This work includes the furnishing and installation of equipment, materials and related appurtenances in the following trades: landscaping, carpentry, metal fabrication, openings demolition, and other related trades. The work will be done under a single contract. Actual prior experience performing the type of work in this project is an important factor for performance of this project. The Bidder is required to submit at the time of the bid with the bid proposal packet proof of experience performing work of a similar nature. Lack of experience in successfully completing projects of a similar size, with similar complexity may be construed as constituting a non-qualified bidder as determined by the City of Missoula. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
