The work includes the full reconstruction of 1st Ave SE consisting of approximately 3,765 square yards of roadway reconstruction including curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway restoration, approximately 1,000 linear feet of ductile iron water main, water services, approximately 840 linear feet of sanitary sewer main, sanitary manholes, sanitary services, storm sewer, storm intakes, temporary traffic control, temporary erosion control, and turf restoration. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with a bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond or bid bond, acceptable to the owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to 100 percent of the amount of the contract. The bid security shall be equal to at least 5% of the amount bid and shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally charted bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union.
