Remove existing shingle roof and install 24-gauge Kynar-coated standing seam metal roof system, including new 5/8 inch plywood decking, ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, flashing, and accessories. The project consists of replacing the roof with standing seam metal to include the following steps : o Remove existing shingle roof, flashing, and underlayment down to the existing roof deck, and dispose of properly off site . Replace any deteriorated roof decking with new 5/8" plywood decking , and install clips o Install ice and water shield along eves , in all valleys and up all walls and around penetrations o Install synthetic underlayment over the remaining roof area o Fabricate and install 24-gauge Kynar- coated standing seam metal roof system (color to be determined by Town) o Fabricate and install accessories as necessary including a vented ridge to ensure a water tight roof system o Clean job site and leave area as you found it. Site Restrictions o Contractor is to provide dumpster/roll-off and pay for disposal of all removed materials and construction debris o Contractor will be required to keep work area clean and orderly, and provide daily cleanup during construction o The Senior Center will be open to employees and the public during weekdays ; contractor will be expected to maintain a safe and hazard-free work area o Work will be limited to daylight hours, Monday through Saturday o The Senior Center and surrounding area is a smoke-free area o Contractor will be asked to keep noise to a minimum in consideration of neighbors and the activities at the Senior Center Questions may be directed to Bryce Bierman at 425-3071 ext . 205, townadmin@townofcharlotte.com.
