This includes replacement of machine room equipment, hoistway door equipment, car door operators and components, interior cab enclosure and finishes, signal and operating systems, associated electrical, mechanical, and structural modifications, and code compliance upgrades triggered by modernization. Security upgrades include installation of gates and security screening at the outdoor mechanical area and alcove, coordination with structural supports and mechanical access requirements, and all work required to complete the project in accordance with the project's plans, specifications, and contract documents. The Engineer's Estimate for the Base Bid is $700,000 and the term of the contract is sixty (60) working days, which includes an additional twenty (20) working days for project closeout. California Contractor License Classification required is Class A or Class B. Bidders must submit bids in a sealed envelope, accompanied by bid security of 10% of the bid amount in a specified form.
