Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Wilmington, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Consists of construction of a new single span steel beam bridge over Lytle Creek. This contract represents Bid Package No. 2 of two bid packages for the project. Critical materials with long lead times have been purchased under a separate contract and will be delivered to the City by October 5 for use in the construction and installation under this contract. Overview: The proposed project includes construction of a new single span steel beam bridge over Lytle Creek for the expansion of the Wilmington Landfill. The previous bid package No. 1 fulfilled the procurement and delivery of materials with critical lead times. These items will be delivered to the City by October 5, 2026 for use in the construction and installation under this contract. This project is for bid package No. 2 which consists of procurement of the remaining bridge materials and construction of the new bridge. Approach roadway work is not included and is to be performed by the City. The Contractor is to be aware that this work is to be performed near an active Bike Trail and Landfill. Bike Trail closures may be permitted on a limited basis. Question Deadline 07/08/2026 at 3:00 PM ET All questions must be submitted in writing online prior to the question deadline. Questions received outside of online or after the deadline will not be answered. BIDDER accepts the provision as to Liquidated Damages in the amount of $500.00/Day in the event of failure to substantially complete this project by December 31, 2026. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal , a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful bidder must replace the bid guaranty with a one- hundred percent Performance Bond upon award of the bid . Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein . The contractor shall pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the minimum wages in accordance with the Prevailing Wage Schedules published by the Ohio Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration, effective during the period of the Contract, as provided for in Section 4115.16 of the Ohio Revised Code. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days of the actual date of the bid opening thereof. The Board of Control of the City of Wilmington reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bids.
