Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a water / sewer project in Westborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for asbestos abatement for a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work consists of the installation of a structural liner in an existing 8-inch diameter asbestos-concrete (AC) water main within the Route 9 right-of-way from Otis Street to Milk Street in Westborough, MA. The length of water main to be lined will be approximately 5,200 feet. The Work also includes installation of approximately 1,000 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main. Existing AC pipe will be removed within the access pits to install the liner and will be replaced with new 8-inch DI water main and tied-in to the existing main. Gate valves and hydrant assemblies within the limits of work will also be replaced with new DI valves and hydrant assemblies. The demolished 8-inch AC water main pipe and asbestos-contaminated material (ACM) will require removal and legal disposal . Temporary bypass piping will be required as shown and indicated within the Contract Documents Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond.
