MnDOT requests letters of interest for Successful Responder to track information regarding each crossing; help identify potential safety issues and develop safety related projects. MnDOT maintains an electronic inventory database for approximately 4,193 highway railroad grade public crossings. Maintaining current information about each crossing is an ongoing effort. MnDOT has a goal of a field review of each crossing, every three years. Successful Responder will update approximately 1293 highway railroad grade public crossing inventories, located in Districts 3, 6, and 8 to keep State's data current. It is understood that the accessibility of these crossings as well as the geographic distance between crossings will vary and influence the number of crossings that the Successful Responder will be able to accomplish within the budget within this task order. Progress will be assessed monthly to determine necessary adjustments to the scope of crossings to be inventoried.
