Upgrade of the HVAC system in the Jr. High Gymnasium. Project shall be as scheduled in cooperation with school district. Installation shall not interfere with classroom instruction. ADD ALTERNATE 1 Price for removal of existing infrared gas fired heaters (2 total) in gym and all associated gas piping inside and exterior, controls, hanger, supports, along with six (6) existing hot water ceiling suspended unit heaters and all associated piping / controls within gym . Seal / insulate all wall penetrations upon removal. ADD ALTERNATE 2 Price for removal of existing outside air unit and associated duct drops into ceiling below. Seal / insulate roof curb upon removal. ADD ALTERNATE 3 Price for spring isolation rails for rooftop units (total of 2) Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Questions. Comply with all applicable codes and standards. Submit and procure all required permits. Procure all required equipment and materials. Coordinate schedule of installation with District. Set new unit on 16 roof curb with Roofing Contractor. Maintain service clearances per manufacturer. Route new gas piping to units. Connect new 2-1/2" line (480 CFH) with gas cock into 3" gas line. Route 2-1/2" to RTU-1 (480 CFH) and reduce to 1-1/2" to RTU-2 (480 CFH). New gas load on 3" line will be 1130 CFH Power to new units. RTUs will be provided with factory mounted disconnects. Power to GFI outlet on unit. RTUs will be provided with factory installed receptacle. Electrical contractor to field wire. Provide factory supplied smoke detectors in supply and return ductwork and connect to existing fire alarm system via National Fire Suppression and include all costs in bid. Provide standalone 7-day programmable wall mounted thermostats (setback & humidity control) and install on North and South Walls utilizing wire mold. Verify locations with District prior to installation. Route 30x30 supply and return ductwork from unit through opening and transition supply to round for connection to ductsox. Route return through opening and connect to return grille. Seal all wall penetrations. Coordinate all roof work with Tremco and include all costs in bid. Provide ductsox for gymnasium. Ductsox shall follow roof line of gym roof. Color shall be selected by District.
