The Bow River Irrigation District wishes to obtain proposals from qualified contractors for the completion of Deadhorse Reservoir Contract 1: Main Dam and Outlet Structure. Documents can be obtained from https://mpe.bidsandtenders.ca/ PROJECT DESCRIPTION The primary components of Contract Main Dam The Main Dam will be located in NE and W4M, within Deadhorse Coulee. It is a zoned 3-13-10 Slength earth- fill dam, with a maximum height of 11.2 of 230 m. Major work of the Main Dam includes sub-excavation of the foundation, pass trenching, constructing the dam fill with bedding gravels for erosion protection. Outlet Structure seepage collection system using one till , and installing upstream riprap and The outlet structure is a cast- in-place concrete structure consisting of three conduits through the Main Dam . The outlet structure includes an intake structure, vertical gate well , and an outlet basin. There are three outlet conduits, each being 2.1 m high by 2.6 m wide and 56 m long. The conduits narrow to 1.8 m wide on either side of the gate well , which houses six 2.1 m high by 1.8 m wide heavy-duty cast-iron slide gates, with two gates per conduith houses six 2.1 m high by 1.8 m wide heavy-duty cast-iron slide gates, with two gates per conduit.
