Site work and renovation of a library in Jersey City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and for site work for a library.
It is the intent of this project to rehabilitate the building envelope. The work consists of restoration of building facades including replacement of corroded steel shelf angles, replacement of roofing system , replacement of windows and window frames, replacement of entrance doors, and related site work as shown on the drawings and specified in the book bound specifications. Bonds: $20,000 Bid Bond, Certified Check required. It is the intent of this project to rehabilitate the building envelope. The project does not include any interior renovation work except for work items connected to the rehabilitation of the building envelope. Work will consist of both selective demolition and new construction activities as they relate to the architectural, mechanical and electrical trades that encompass the overall scope. Restore all building facades. Replace corroded steel shelf angles over windows where shown. Clean all facades as specified. Restore terracotta, brick, and stone masonry including replacement of certain damaged terracotta and brick units where shown and as required for a complete restoration work as specified. 4. Replace all windows and window frames. 5. Replace main entrance door assembly. 6. Replace roofing and flashing system. 7. Replace certain exterior basement doors and frames. 8. Replace certain exterior concrete stairs to basement including railings and other accessories. 9. Construct new canopies over exterior stairs to the basement. 10 Demolish former coal vault, backfill and install concrete driveway as shown on the site plan. 11. Plumbing work shall be limited to replacement of exterior area drains and storm piping. The electrical work is limited to installation of certain exterior light fixtures, conduits and conductors and to modifications to existing interior power connections to window type air conditioning units. The contractor shall provide additional miscellaneous and related work as specified and as shown on the contract drawings. 14. The contractor shall provide and maintain all required permits.
