City Wide Drainage Repair Package 1 - The City of Rockford requests bids from qualified companies to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the City-Wide Drainage Repair Package 1 as described in these specifications. The work consists of repairing a box culvert outlet structure in Keith Creek south branch near the Magna parking lot and replacing damaged concrete panels in the Buckbee Channel near 25th St. Each bidder shall submit with his bid the information specified in the bid documents for compliance with the laws of the State of Illinois on Fair Employment Practices and with the City of Rockford's Ordinance on Equal Employment and Business Opportunity. Any bid which fails to include the compliance items properly completed will not be read and will not be considered. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12) . The City of Rockford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities . A bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check equal to the amount specified is acceptable in lieu of a bid bond. Bid bonds of the two lowest firms will be retained until the contract is awarded. When required by the specifications herein, the awarded vendor shall furnish a performance and payment bond equal to the amount of the contract, acceptable to the City, within fourteen (14) calendar days after notification of contract award.
