The work under this project consists of asphalt pavement resurfacing at various designated locations throughout the City. This is a standalone phase of a multi-phase infrastructure initiative. Phases Two and Three are independent of this solicitation and will be advertised as separate contracts. As portions of this project may be federally funded this phase and future phases must be in full compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act. A Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Treasurer, City of Norfolk, for five percent (5%) of total bid must accompany each bid. Offerors shall upload a copy of the bid guarantee with the Offeror's acknowledgement to mail the original sealed document to the Owner, within two (2) business days. Work to be Substantially Completed in: 60 calendar days Liquidated Damages: five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day Performance Bond: one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond: one hundred percent (100%) Bid Bond: five percent (5%) The City reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or to reject any or all bids in whole or part, when it is in the best interest of the City.
