Beaufort County, South Carolina is seeking sealed bids from qualified, licensed, and properly insured contractors for the construction and development of Bailey Memorial Park, a passive recreation park in the Alljoy Community of Bluffton, South Carolina. The project scope includes site development, parking improvements, trails, boardwalk construction, fencing, signage, and associated park infrastructure, all in accordance with the approved conceptual master plan and civil construction documents. The park will serve both residents and visitors, maintaining the natural resources and passive recreational character of the property. Scope of Work The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and incidentals necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to the following improvements: Trails _Construction of approximately one ( 1) mile or more of earthen walking trails. _Trail surface shall consist of mechanically compacted existing material without surfacing amendments unless otherwise directed. _ Trail alignment shall be field-located to: _ Avoid wetland impacts; _ Minimize tree removal; Reduce the need for boardwalk construction. Boardwalk Construction of limited pine boardwalk sections totaling less than 1,000 linear feet. Boardwalk shall utilize timber pile foundations where required.
