The Facility Security Improvement Project will update and replace aging IT and Security infrastructure at John Wayne Airport (JWA). The scope consists of the replacement of the airport-wide IT fiber loop, upgrades and replacement of the Access Control System and associated door hardware, and the replacement and addition of CCTV/VMS systems throughout the airport. Security improvements will also include the installation of an enhanced Perimeter Detection System around the airfield. All work must be sequenced to maintain existing system and equipment capabilities during installation until cutovers to new systems are complete, and scheduled to support daily airport operations at all times. Ongoing coordination with various stakeholders including JWA Operations, OC Sherriff, JWA CALM, JWA IT, JWA Maintenance, and various lease holders is required. Proposals must be submitted online via the County's online bidding system; facsimile and e-mail proposals will not be accepted. DBE participation goals are suspended for this solicitation and will not be considered for responsiveness or award decisions, though inclusion of certified DBE firms is encouraged for informational purposes only. Any Small Business participation submitted will also be for informational purposes only and not scored. Respondents are not to contact other County personnel about this solicitation; all questions must be submitted within the specified period as outlined. Event pre-bid note: County staff will discuss the scope of work, general contract issues and respond to questions from the attendees. The Pre-Submittal Meeting and Site Visit will be conducted one time only. Attendance and sign-in at the pre-submittal meeting is required. Contractor must stay until the meeting has ended. Failure of any Respondent to attend this Mandatory Pre-Submittal Meeting and Site Visit shall constitute a substantial variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents and the response of any Respondent not in attendance will be rejected as non-responsive.
