Site work for a road / highway in Shawnee, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This project will provide the following: Intersection improvements intended to enhance safety, traffic operations, and overall functionality of the intersections of I-435 and Johnson Drive. Improvements are anticipated to include, but are not limited to: • Traffic signalization at both ramp intersections, with interconnectivity to the signal at Renner Road. • Design considerations for a future fourth leg at each ramp intersection to accommodate potential development south of Johnson Drive. • Evaluation of alternatives and design of pedestrian accommodations between the ramp intersections and Renner Road. • Streetlighting improvements. • Close coordination with KDOT regarding intersection design, potential bridge modifications, and impacts to KDOT right-of-way. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposal submittals and to waive informalities or irregularities of the submittals.
